SDFs provide a strategic vision (desired future) for spatial development at the National, Regional or District levels over a 20 year period.
It includes decisions on the distribution and coordination of future housing areas, future development projects and support opportunities for local and foreign investments.
The National SDF is at the top of the hierarchy and provides a spatial expression to social, economic or other policies at that level.
Regional SDFs are coherent with the national and regional policies and plans
District SDFspresents a spatial dimension of the Medium Term Development Plans (MTDP) and other relevant national and regional-level policies, plans and programs.
