structure plan (sp)

Local Plans are detailed plans which conform to the broad land use classification prescribed in the Structure Plan.
They outline proposals for the disposition of land by their functions and purpose, define areas to be preserved and protected in their present state with the view to meeting the identified present and future needs of a community within the plan period.

Local Plans are prepared for sectors and/or parts of towns (old parts, developing parts and undeveloped areas) depending on the size and neighborhood with a scale of 1: 2500, and in special cases at scales down to 1:500.

They form the basis for the issuance of development and building permits for prospective developments.
